Here is an update on the Christmas-time shooting of 18-year-old Lamon Haslip, shot while handcuffed on the ground by Moreno Valley PD. The article also has information about other victimes of police violence in recent years, which makes it an informative read.
Here's another case of both a cop shooting someone while off-duty, like the recent Chino Hills road rage case, and of the police unreasonably refusing to disclose innocuous information--in this case, the agency the killer cop works for. (In the Chino Hills case, we eventually learned what agency the shooter worked for.) We still don't know the brother's age or many other details, but if we find anything out, we'll let you know. Corona PD. They were busy the last week of July. In this case, cops shot the young brother after they claim he pulled a gun out of his waistband. Apparently, some other folks are saying it was a BB gun. Another young life lost too soon. Here's the P-E article:
