We brought you this story last time it was in the news. This time it's back in print, because the jury has reached a verdict and a sentence has been passed down. Six-to-eight years, a rare exception to the impunity of agents of the police state.
The police state wants to enhance their surveillance of us--especially at it's crown jewel, Victoria Gardens. Fortunately, some folks are speaking up in opposition. They are not all that up on their constitutional and case law, and I note some conspiracy-tinged paranoia (likely related to having a black president) but at least they are speaking up.
Second police killing in as many weeks in Pomona. They are on edge because there is a war going on underneath their noses and they have no clue about what to do about it. What's more, it's not an election year, so they don't have any of the politicians breathing down their necks to do the right thing, so they are empowered to deal with it their own way--with random violence. They claim this brother had a knife, but we know how much we can trust them...
